TYPE TESTS

The COMCELL SCA is manufactured to the requirements of Australian Standards AS 1136 Form 3. These can accommodate circuit breakers, fuse switch units, distribution boards and motor starter modules etc., to form complete load centres offering the following features:
*compact design and of modular construction, offering unlimited flexibility and reliability.
*tested for Arc fault containment to AS 1136,
Appendix E.
*high degree of safety for operators.
*easy access for maintenance purpose.
*single sided front access, front cabling can be mounted against a wall.
*back to back, front access, front cabling for the most economical use of floor space.
*single sided front access, rear cabling for minimum length and maximum cabling space.
*cable entries for front and below.
*readily extendable for either end.
*PLC and Direct Digital Control can be designed as part of the Operating System.
*subsequent re-arrangement of unit modules without the need for special tools.
*plugin connection via solid fully insulated copper busbar.

COMCELL SCA is manufactured to the highest standards and we are working towards AS 3902 and ISO 9002 standards.

 

 

The prototype COMCELL SCA Unit has been tested by Testing and Certification Australia, a division of Sydney Electricity to AS 1136.1 for:
*verification of segregation.
*verification of dielectric properties for 415V.
*verification of short circuit capacity on Main busbar system for -
50ka .................... for 1 second
50ka .................... for 3 seconds
63ka .................... for 1 second
80ka .................... for 1 second

*verification of short circuit capacity on vertical busbar system for -
50ka .................... for 1 second
*verification of short circuit capacity on neutral busbar system for-
30ka .................... for 1 second
40ka .................... for 1 second
40ka .................... for 3 seconds

*perform arcing fault containment tests in accordance with Appendix E of AS 1136.1 1998
(standard tests).
*perform internal arcing fault tests in accordance with Appendix E Clause E6 (special tests) of AS 1136.1 1998.
*type 2 co-ordination to
IEC 947 - 4 - 1 - 1990
*temperature rise testing to AS 1136.1 1998.
*short circuit strength type tests on an extensive range of motor starter and feeder units to AS 1136.1 and IEC 439 (TEST DUTY 1 AND TEST DUTY 2).
